Linda Moro

Pat Burt

With more than twenty years of experience in public relations and marketing for nonprofits and public agencies, Linda Moro is skilled at promoting important messages. She’s worked with human services, health, housing, public transit, and environmental organizations.

Linda is committed to helping organizations that work toward a healthier, safer world; and she has developed local, regional, and national public awareness campaigns.

Her volunteer service includes work in education, peace and human rights, family violence prevention, and community organizing. She has served on the boards of national peace and justice organizations as well as state and local child protection organizations.

She has assisted the U.N.’s Department of Public Information in the wider distribution of information about the work of the United Nations, and is a member of Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Linda is also the founder of the National Association of the Responsible Use of Apostrophes and Quotation Marks. Writer Dave Barry has accepted an honorary membership in NARUAQM, much to the delight of the entire membership.

Pat began his career as an advertising and corporate photographer, working with a wide range of clients.

He was a founding member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), Oregon Chapter, and served as chapter president for five years.

By the early 90s, he was already working with computer photo-illustration techniques, and created a series of illustrations used in magazine ads for Sharp Electronics and in annual reports for Precision Castparts and Nerco.

Because of his early expertise in this work, Pat was asked by Portland State University Extended Studies to teach a digital photography course.

Next, Pat expanded into the design world, offering graphic design for print in addition to photography, as Pat Burt photo+design. This added capability has been valuable to clients. Today, all design and photography work is digital.

Pat began working with Linda Moro on projects for nonprofits, and after years of collaborating, they decided to merge, forming MoroBurt Creative.

As both a designer and a photographer, Pat brings a unique set of skills to projects. So, MoroBurt Creative is able to give clients a wider range of experience and skills than they can get with other firms.
